Spandex or Leather - Clean up

Clean up

Captain Frank's looks at you over the perps you handed over, a hot cup of coffee in his hands and glum look on his face.

“Look, I don't much care for the whole super hero thing.

Crime and justice are my job, not yours. Still you can get things done that I can't,” He says as he looks you over.

He hands the perps over to the other cops, who take them away in cuff for processing. After they have left, Captain Frank states:

“It's no secret we have a whole lot of corrupt cops on the force,” He starts. “Been like that since I joined the force.

In the old days you had to make a choice, join the bad cops or turn a blind eye to what they were doing. Well I have had a stomach full of turning the other way,” He continues with some force in his voice. “I can't stop them, but you might be able to. Bring me solid evidence of these crooked cops and what they are up to and I can arrest them.”

After a bit of too and froing with each other and the Captain, you agree to help, well what sealed the deal was being Empowered was illegal, so... erm yer

Chris, Chuck and Reece shake the man's hand and agree to help.

“Start with the beat cops on third shift, they are all part of a gang of bad cops,” Frank says as he turns away and gets into his car.

Reece and Chuck get a day job as labours in a construction site near the Police Station.

Chuck Chamberlain (aka Bonedido)

Reece Grey (aka Renegado)

Christian picked up a job as an Estate agent, and used his new contacts and connections to find abandoned premises they could use as a hideout.

Christian Bartlett (aka Blowout)

From this new base they started to do surveillance on the cops of the third shift.

The first few nights were uneventful, primarily because they lost count of the cops on the third shift, and following cops in cars, while you are on foot is hard work.

They did have a minor success with this route though when they staked out one of the three nightclubs in the quadrant (Invictus, Sub Terra and Brothers) - Invictus...

Christian and Chuck decided to stake out from the inside of the club, Reece from the outside.

Chuck tried and failed to intimidate the bouncer into letting them in for free, Christian then tried to seduce him and again failed and failed to the point that Chuck was charged $20 for entrance and Christian was charged $30!

Once inside they found there was three dance floors with different music playing in each: Pop, Techno Punk and Techno Dance

After watching the Punk Swan Lake mosh pit, Chuck watched the comings and goings from the VIP area, where some suit was surrounded by girls, there seemed to be a runner that kept returning to the VIP area and handing off something to the suit, before returning and doing his rounds.

Christian and Chuck tracked and followed the runner around the club, and he seemed to be handing off packets to patrons in exchange for cash.... Drugs...

Meanwhile Reece spots a Cop Car roll up to the club (number 54 emblazoned on the car), the passenger gets out and the bouncer hands him an envelope of cash, the cop checks it then leaves in the car.

The team head home at about 3am (they need to get up for work), but they discover in one of the sheds an old jeep, long forgotten jeep in the abandoned house...

So they can now follow the cop cars....

They finally managed to count the cops on the third shift and record the car numbers.
Each car held a driver and passenger, 5 cars, 10 cops.
Car numbers 34, 48, 53, 54 and 59

Night 1 with a car, they followed car 34 doing its rounds, it seemed as if it went to various off licences and food places taking money from each owner, and free food/stock when they felt like it.

Night 2 they followed car 48, doing similar, but then re-spotted them when they momentarily lost sight of them bundling a person into the back of the car, they then proceeded to roll out of the city via the A122. The team turned back before they were spotted.

Night 3 Car 53 again took money from various premises, then headed to Sub Terra nightclub, where the bouncer handed over an envelope of cash to the cop, the cop checked it and then struck the bouncer across his face with a stun baton.
The team once the cop car left the scene checked the bouncer was alive, and saw that his face had a burn mark across is, they retreated back as other bouncers started to arrive.
Christian then started to freak out in the car, and Chuck punched him in his face, remanence of the airplane movie!

Night 4 they first started following Car 54 who was doing the now normal rounds of money collection, but at a cross roads switched to follow Car 59, the car turned a blind corner, and as the team approached they cut the engine and lights and rolled to a stop as both cops were out and running after two teens in a basketball court at 2am.
Chuck thought that teens don't normally play basketball at 2am, so the cops must be doing their job.
Christian was not convinced so started recording the events on his phone.
That was until one of the cops shoots one of the unarmed teens dead, the other cop grabs the other teen scrambling over the fence, pulling and holding onto his feet so he falls hard onto the tarmac court.
Then is promptly executed by the other cop!
Both cops then crouch over the two and do something out of sight of the team.
The team bug out of the situation before they are spotted.
They have the evidence for Captain Frank...

The team arrange a meet up with Captain Frank

Reviewing the evidence and especially the footage, it distinctly shows the lack of a bag with stolen goods from a warehouse.

These goods were planted on the dead teens, the cops were part of a theft ring, stealing from stores and warehouses and pinning it on some local punks, and claiming the glory for capturing these punks.

With the evidence of them planting evidence, Captain Frank thanks the team as he can take down the cops with this.

It seems the team has a friend in the force...

Over the next few days there are news reports of Franks arresting the cops one at time, making it a very public affair so the cops suffer as much public scorn as possible.

The team are not mentioned once in any of the reports.....
