Bard Harder - The Eden project

The band decide to go and grab the bone from patient zero from the mausoleum within the graveyard just to the east of town.

So they head to Mayor Relnok residence to convince him to give them the key.

Theodora tells the band that he lives in the largest house in town, on the far north side near Lake Tranquility. She lets the band know that Adam Relnok has been Mayor of the town of Eden for over fifty years now. He is a big part of why the people of the town behave the way they do - the heavy perfumes and outfits that hide their deformities. He was elected after a spike in suicides caused his predecessor to take his own life.

As the band head towards the Mayors house, they pass Lake Tranquility. A roughly one square mile lake that is off the northern edge of the town.

They see that a lot of the homes are designed in a way to provide an ample view of the lake as it is quite beautiful. Ducks and geese both call this lake home as well as many different species of fish. There are a few docks that can be used for fishing, but there is no one fishing atm.

The band find it odd that there are no guards and they can go right up to the Mayors front door, so they knock.

The door opens and the band see Mayor Adam Relnok himself! He is a human man with sharp grey eyes and a clean shaven head. He wears a navy three-piece suit with a white pocket square that compliments his dark skin. He has a finely trimmed beard that hangs down to the top button of his outfit and he smells strongly of cherries and whiskey. He appears to be in his early sixties, but given the tragedy that befell these folks you know this man is at least a hundred and fifty years old. He gives a smile and greets you. “Out of towners, huh? What brings you to Eden?, I am Mayor Adam Relnok, who are you?”

Ekham explains that they wish to have the key to the mausoleum so they can get an ingredient for Theo to help her find a cure.

The Mayor bulks at this, but invites them into his house. He has a large sitting area off the main hall with a pair of loveseats, a few massive pillows, and even some bean bag-style seats. “Could I interest you in something to drink? I make a mean cup of tea! Well, I assume it still tastes as good as I remember.”

He informs the band that he has the key to the mausoleum but would prefer to keep it sealed. Within are creatures of death - not like those of the town of Eden. He was part of the crew that originally locked the place up… their minds were gone. Many of those they saw had been dead for decades before Cole joined their ranks. Life for the people of Eden may not be the most glamorous, but it would not benefit from being overrun by the undead!

Lemmog tries and fails to impress the Mayor of his prowess as a paladin.

It takes Silme to step up and convince the Mayor to even consider giving them the key, then with a few more arguments from the rest of the band and the promise that anything inside will not get out, the Mayor gives over the key, which Gribble clones.

Opening the mausoleum

The mausoleum is at the center of the graveyard just to the east of town.

As advertised, when the band approaches they can hear gentle scraping against the thick stone.

As the band open the door to the mausoleum, they are confronted by six skeletons and two ghasts
Silme sends a fireball into the mausoleum, eradicating the skelitons but leaving the ghasts.

The band quickly despatch the ghasts, and find none of them are Cole.

They then find a starway heading down into the dark, as the band head down the stair corridors they are confronted by a ghast and then another.

During the fight Heironymo and Lemmog are upfront hand to hand fighting the Ghasts.
When the second one is despatched by Heironymo, Lemmog turns with wild eyes and chops into Heironymo with devastating force and damage.

Lemmog had succumbed to the Berserker rage from his axe.

As Ekham, Heironymo and Lemmog had not told the rest of the band of this foible, the rest of the band are in panic.

Gribble tries to clam the situation down, and fails asking any and all who would listen why oh why is this happening.

Yomi goes full brutal and feembleminds Lemmog, who is now a bubbling idiot, still trapped in a berserking rage, but a bumbling drooling berserker rage.

Ekham engulfs Heironymo and Lemmog in darkness, which allows Heironymo to escape back to the band.

Lemmog hears sounds from the east and west and heads west, unfortunatly back towards the band.

Heironymo is in bad shape and it is about to get worse, Yomi slides off and hides out of sight.

Gribble is being told to shut up by Ekham, who then casts Calm Emotions and Lemmog and the whole party, who all start to chill.

With the rage subsided, and Heironymo healed a bit, Heironymo charges off to hunt down this bone, he rounds the corner and almost into another ghast with a sun pendant.
Heironymo quickly despatches him, and pulls off his arm.

The band then search the lower cypt but find nothing.

After locking back up the mausoleum, the band head back to the Mayors house.

Heironymo waves to the Mayor with Coles arm, with which the Mayor recoils with horror.

Ekham calms things down and the band inform the mayor that they have cleared the mausoleum and locked it back up. To which the Mayor is relived and is returned his key.

The band then head to Theo's house and give her the arm and sell her the pendant.
