When the band tuned the Spire it rose up and burst through the ceiling and into the sky, floating there, then released a Resonance Wave - The Discord Purge
The Spire emitted a sharp, cleansing tone. All undead and aberrations within 1 mile must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be destroyed instantly. Survivors are weakened, suffering disadvantage on attack rolls for 24 hours.
The hole revealed that the band were beneath the amphitheatre of shards, a ruin where sound carries for miles..
Gribble and Ekham spotted a stairway up to the amphitheatre, a narrow shoulder width stairway, that would prevent most melee movements if an enemy is encountered.
The rest of the band head back the way they came in.
As they exit, they arrive in the amphitheatre of shards, broken instruments lay scattered, the gates are hanging off their hinges, and the place is in ruins.
DJ Thunderbrew then transformed into a sound elemental
The Guards that were busy breaking up the crowd and sending people on their way now succumb to the beat and start shuffling and merging into the crowd.
The crystalline DJ booth spins lazily in midair, refracting the light into blinding shards. At its core, a jagged crystal hums with raw magic, sending waves of compulsion through the crowd. And there — perched atop it like a conductor over an orchestra — is the Rhythm Ental, its form a shifting silhouette of smoke and sound, eyes glowing with the pulse of the beat.
The bass drops.
The crowd erupts — not in cheers, but in chaos. Enchanted dancers surge toward the stage, their eyes glassy, their movements sharp and aggressive. The Ental raises a hand, and the music warps into something darker, heavier. The ground trembles.
The Ental’s voice echoes in the bands mind — smooth, mocking, and impossibly loud:
"Let’s see if you can keep up."
The lights strobe. The crowd closes in, merging into a magical singularity — the music, lights, and magic merge into a reality-warping rave.
Ekham and Gribble perform area attacks to target the Floating Crystal DJ Booth and Rhythm Ental
Floating Crystal DJ Booth explodes in a burst of crystal shards and magical feedback; the crowd within 20ft of it is obliterated; the remainder are freed from their compulsion to dance and slowly start to unmerge.
Gribble and Ekham, both as they fought the Sound Elemental, alone, afraid and without backup, gained a Musical Feat.

"(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)"
Ekham and Gribble see, on one side of the Amphitheatre on a "stage" is a Gnome Bard with an arcane SoundsystemThe Gnome bard introduces himself as DJ Thunderbrew Shouting You've gotta love the music and hate the rules..... Fight for your right to Party
As Ekham and Gribble approach, they see some drunken rowdy adventurers, trying to start fights with the dancing crowd.
Gribble uses his mage hand to give one a wedgie
Ekham charms them to be his friends and follow him
All the while, wild magic surges through the Amphitheatre
Gribble got caught in a Confetti Storm, a Firework misfire at him and reverse gravity bounce
Then as he was heading towards the stage, Ekham was guiding the rowdy lot away, when he also was caught in a confetti storm, has a spectral bard provide an epic solo, which one of the rowdy lot tried to lean on, then their ale got turned into frogs!!
Across the crowd Glitter bombs, animated balloon animals, Ale fountains were going off and then the crowd seemed to double.
Meanwhile, the Guards show up and try to break the party up.
- Ale to Amphibians – Every mug of ale within 20 ft. turns into a croaking frog. They hop everywhere, causing difficult terrain.
- Beat Drop Boom – The music hits so hard that everyone within 15 ft. must make a DC 13 CON save or be knocked prone.
- Confetti Storm – A burst of rainbow confetti blinds creatures in a 10 ft. radius until the start of their next turn.
- Dancing Skeletons – 1d4 skeletons appear, wearing party hats, and dance uncontrollably. They attack only if attacked first.
- Ale Fountain – A keg explodes into a 10 ft. geyser of enchanted ale. Anyone hit must make a DC 12 DEX save or be soaked and slowed.
- Balloon Animals Come Alive – 1d6 balloon animals animate and start chasing random creatures. They have stats of a cat or rat.
- Firework Misfire – A firework shoots sideways, dealing 2d6 fire damage in a 15 ft. line (DEX save DC 13 for half).
- Bassline Healing – The music’s rhythm restores 1d8 HP to all creatures within 10 ft. of DJ Thunderbrew.
- Illusionary Crowd – An illusory mob appears, doubling the apparent number of people and confusing enemies (disadvantage on Perception checks).
- Glitter Bomb – A magical glitter explosion covers everyone in 20 ft., giving advantage on Charisma checks but disadvantage on Stealth.
- Reverse Gravity Bounce – For 3 seconds, gravity flips in a 10 ft. radius, sending creatures 10 ft. into the air before dropping them (1d6 bludgeoning damage).
- Epic Guitar Solo – A spectral bard appears, shredding so hard that all allies gain +1 to attack rolls until the end of the next round.
Gribble made it up to the stage and tried to spartan kick the Gnome off the stage, but just ended up putting his shoe print on his back.
| The Beat Incarnate |
Gribble started to perform Arcane Fire songs to the crowd, much to the amusement of the Sound Elemental
Gribble played, not noticing that everybody is shuffling, shuffling and merging
Dancing Skeletons then appeared around Ekham, which he left to party with the rowdy lot. and headed towards the Sound Elemental and Gribble
Ekham gets close; the Sound Elemental has not attacked either of them.
Gribble finally sees that although the Sound Elemental has not injured him, it is doing something funky with the audience; the music, magic, and crowd energy fuse into a living embodiment of rhythm and chaos.
The audience becomes a magical singularity — the music, lights, and magic merge into a reality-warping rave. Their flesh starts to merge, and the crowd starts becoming a single mass.
Party Rock Anthem
Gribble stopped playing, now noticing that everybody is shuffling, shuffling and merging
Ekham and Gribble start attacking it, and it retaliates by forcing them to dance, dropping the Beat for Thunder damage, and Lightshow Barrage that blinded them.
The Sound Elemental shrunk, and some of its previous form formed a Crystal DJ Booth, that floated up 20ft into the air

Rhythm Ental almost killed both Ekham and Gribble, but Ekham got the finishing blow in with a little help from his little friend Gribble.
Rhythm Ental exploded into harmless glitter and confetti, leaving behind a magical Glowstone Amulet that grants +1 to Performance checks and lets the wearer cast Thaumaturgy at will (sound effects only).

Gribble has the Glowstone Amulet.
The light and sound show attracted the city partygoers, the rest of the band finally turned up, having missed the fight.
Arcane Fire then in the Amphitheatre of Shards, put on a seasonal finalie concert for the City of Drakos
Gribble and Ekham, both as they fought the Sound Elemental, alone, afraid and without backup, gained a Musical Feat.
