Spandex and Leather: Visiting the land down under

As the team walk away from the docks.

They hear a loud crash, like the sound of thunder. Within seconds they see a giant wave crashing along the coastline.

The team spring into action.

Dot gets 30 people to start running, which triggers a mass exodus, those paralysed in fear, Blowout protects, Svyaz snaps some out with a distraction, Renegado flys off and Bonedido Grabs up a dithery old lady and runs off with her (while she is saying things like, 2such a nice young man, nothing like what the papers say, nice man, ooh, when I was younger....).

Meanwhile the giant wave slammed into the harbour puling up the wreckage of the ships into the harbour, destroying what is left of it.

The Atlanteans clearly mean business.

After the destruction of the docks, as the team are retreating, Svyaz gets a call from Tornado from Ageas. Martian Pants Man is pissed and wants to know why the Atlanteans have broken the treaty.
He said he wanted me to take you down to Atlantis to talk to the fish people on his behalf,” the young hero explains. “He asked us to get them to send a delegation to the surface to negotiate… whatever it takes. But from experience, I still think attacking the Empress should probably be something we avoid, if possible…!

With that a submersible arises out of the depths near the wrecked harbour.

The team pause, as well only Svyaz is Ageas, the rest are well, NOT.

Eventually the team including Dot go aboard the sub.

Inside Tornado gives further background info.
"The Empress is about to start the second wave of her assault. She is fighting against those guilty of throwing toxic waste into the ocean and will not let this rest. You must stop her before this attack commences, thrusting the people of Terra into war. There is no time to rest."

As the sub descends into Atlantis, the team see that the Atlantean troops are gathering in force in their city’s staging grounds. These troops are arming themselves with much more advanced weaponry than the original force that was encountered at the wharf was armed with. Civilians can be seen moving various items and crates to these rally points. Everyone else seems to be securing doors and windows on buildings, ready for a counter attack.

Tornado says that entering the city would normally be relatively simple: Empowered have diplomatic immunity, providing they do not take hostile action, but it looks like the Atlantean warriors are not in a talking mood at the moment.

The team decide, well they are here to negotiate, so why not take the front entrance!

At the front entrance to the city, several guards are preparing for the upcoming assault, they raise their weapons at the team and while Dot and Svyaz are talking to them, the other guards try a mental attack on the team, that backfires on one of the guards, sending it to sleep.

Through some clever persuasion, negotiation and a bit of trickery the guards escort the team to the palace.

On route they see all manner of Atlanteans preparing for the upcoming assault.

As the team comes within visual distance of the palace they can see several guards posted outside the main hall doors.

The entrance to the palace is blocked by Royal Guards, these look more powerful than the city guards and shake the team to the core with there presence.

Dot and Svyaz enchant two of the guards to allow them in to see the Empress as they are on a negotiation mission from Martian Pants Man.

Once in the throne room of the city, the group sees the Empress of Atlantis, surrounded by several royal guards. The team have the choice to negotiate or fight the Empress.

On entering the throne room the Atlantean Empress spins on her feet in rage, and shoots water at one of the Royal Guards blasting it of its feet.

She seems to flick between walking and flowing like water around the throne room.

Blowout tries to calm the situation down, but missteps with his wording and the Empress thinks he called her ignorant, so blasts him with Water hurting him.

The Empress goes into a rant stating that the dry-landers have broken their promises and holds the governments of the world responsible.

Renengado is getting increasingly edgy, and looks like he is about to, well do something stupid.

Blowout and Svyaz try to calm him down, while Dot negotiates further with the Empress, and against the odds is slowly winning her round.

With a bit of help and instruction from Svyaz, Dot negotiates for more time, and that the team will investigate and take down this "Mind Games Inc" group, who owned the ship and warehouse that the Atlanteans destroyed.

The Empress demanded that from now only the only person she will negotiate with is Forethought (Martian Pants Man) the only dry-lander she trusts.

But through the negotiations of Dot (with Svyaz's help) the Empress has agreed to cancel the assault… for now, and give them time to resolve the problems on the surface.

However, careful negotiations are still needed: the peace treaty between Atlantis and the governments of Terra is clearly more precarious than you realised…
