Team prep for Friday night, obtaining a button hole surveillance camera, with transmitter and box negotiated down from 4K to 2K and no violence.
Friday night is costume night, theme “Flamboyant” so they go in their costumes jazzed up a but more.
Team are set, so they head over to Sub Terra with Lynxs as Alberto, as they enter the nightclub Lynx is lead away to an upstairs room full of costumed villans.
Blowout sees via the video screen a hologram of a large brain appear in the room, most of the room is in shock about what it is saying, but some just smirk or laugh manically.
As the brain disappears a few start to rush out of the room and out of the nightclub, Lynx follows, ushering the team out, refusing say what happened till they are clear of the club.
As they exit and clear the club, a large mechanical robot , a good 20 foot tall descends on the street, cutting off Lynx as he was about to say what occurred.
“Seems we have something new to play with.” The figure laughs in a mechanical voice. “Heroes have arrived in town, super heroes. Lets see how super they are.”
And with that the Robot gears up to attack, but Bonedido gets the drop on the Robot, even if he did come out worse for wear from the attack.
Renegardo tries his luck, but again comes off damaged from the encounter.
Dot tries to send it to sleep/get it to shutdown, but it is only partially effective.
Blowout rushes in to protect the die another day duo, and manages to disintegrate part of the Big FO Robot.
A few more rounds of tit for tat and the Big FO Robot is dust n wreckage.
“Right, what the hell went on in that Room Lynx, and why was everyone fleeing, and why do we keep getting attacked by robots!” Exclaims Blowout.
Its Mind Games Inc, its run by a mad man or brain or something call the Master Mind, and it plans to blow up the city. They have a new headquarter in the City in the big glass skyscraper called north Point.
The team head straight over to building, but on route the radio transmission is taken by a sinister mechanical voice. “Citizens of Ibidan be warned. I am Master Mind and I will have complete control of this city by 12 o’clock midnight or I will destroy it completely,” The voice demands. “I have sent your fool of a mayor my demands and expect them to be followed, to the letter. That, or face your collective doom.”
With that the TVs and radios all across the city resume their normal programs.
Of course panic sets in, the people of the city are not so used to super villain as of yet, super heroes are just as new and no one has any confidence in these new caped and masked heroes.
So as the team head towards the building, you see streams of vehicles and pedestrians heading out of the city.
Some of the team are from Ibidan, all of the team have something to prove to their city, their home.
Can the city depend on them to keep them safe?
Heading off to Mind Games Inc.’s cooperate head quarters over on North Point you come to a tall building. Outside you find a small army of robots, all ready to attack the city at Midnight, just a few minutes away.
Off to North Point, as you arrive in the SUV, you are greeted by a sea of drones outside the building. Renegardo wastes no time in ploughing through as many as he can before the SUV grinds to a halt over the bodies of drones. While on this rampage Blowout disintegrates, Linx explodes some with paint grenades, but none attack back…..
Bonedido rushes out of the car, crashing through the glass doors to the feet of 10 security drones.. these do attack, and the attack hard.
The rest of the team join Bonedido, with Bonedido and Renegadeo taking the hits for the team a they try to fight metal robots. Blowout, disintegrates some more. Dot gets them to shut down, but they start back up quickly when Bonedido and Renegadeo start attacking them again. SO she tries to get the Robots to “step Away”, and as luck would have it it works.
The team then pile into the lift that Lynx called and head to the penthouse.
When they arrive, they are greeted by a control room, at the top of the building. There the team finds a man waiting for them.
In a mechanical voice the he laughs at you, “Fools, did you think you could stop the world’s greatest intellect, the world’s greatest villain?
You can never defeat me, for I am always a step ahead of you.”
Bonedido rushes him but just before his punch makes contact with him, it explodes, nothing more than a robot decoy.
The team is blown up with the explosion, Dot is saved by Bonedido, Lynx escapes unscathed in the lift alcove, but the whole control room is destroyed, with every window in the penthouse exploding out.
As the team desend the stairwell, the spot one of the security robots slumped in the stairwell, it has been deactivated with the control room explosion, but on closer inspection they can see what looks like a count down.
RUN
Exclaims, well everyone
As they team skip down the stairwell, they hear and feel another explosion above them, and a larger Explosion below them, as all the drones explode, leaving no evidence behind.
On exiting the building they see that the SUV has been sent careening across the road with a tree embedded out of its roof!
Well, Lynx you may need a bigger spray can to fix that.
