Over several weeks they scaled a mountain, found an underwater river, built filtration system, befriended some prehistoric bears, hid from flocks of Pteranodons, brutalised Raptors and even a T-Rex! fought giant ants and Millipedes, all the while steadily getting weaker and weaker as the climate, food and water affected them.
When after several weeks they venture over towards the river, and in the middle of a battle Lacuna appears like a vision and the team escape back to their own time.
Only to find out Ibadan has gone to hell and back and time has moved on several months.
After berating them for their ineptitude Lacuna leaves the team, but also leaves behind a new for the team method of transport.
